That Deep Pressurized Ache
When pressure builds throughout the day, radiates down your leg, or just won't let up no matter what you try, we help by gently decompressing your spine one level at a time.
Adjustments

What Our Patients Say
“After dealing with neck and back issues for years with little success from other chiropractors and physiotherapists, I started going to Summit Spine Centre after a friend's referral. Their flexion distraction technique has significantly improved my range of motion, and I'm feeling better than I have in years. I'd forgotten what it felt like to move comfortably again.”
Keith B.
Airdrie Patient
“After one month of weekly visits my life is significantly different. My back feels great, I don't grunt and groan when I'm moving, I'm no longer hunched over or constantly protecting myself. I can do things care free like play with my kids, and be present in the moment with them. I'm not nearly as angry or frankly miserable and able to enjoy life again in a way I haven't for some time.”
Justin C.
Airdrie Patient
“This would be 12 stars if I could! Dr. Karl Louder is hands down amazing, and Dr. Ryan Lawrence is pretty amazing too! I have been coming here since 2020. I highly recommend any and everyone to go here for care. Your health is vital and they have played a huge part in my health as well as my husband's. They supported us so deeply while my husband went through cancer treatments. We are so grateful for this place.”

Common Questions
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You can book directly online or by giving us a call.
What to expect on my first visit?
During your first visit we'll take the time to get to know you, your health history, and your goals. We'll also do a thorough physical exam to better understand your problem. If we can help you, we'll begin care on your first visit. If needed, we'll refer you for additional imaging (i.e. X-rays), or to another provider as needed.
What does a chiropractor do?
A chiropractor is a primary care provider who assesses and treats problems with the spine, joints, muscles and nerves, such as back pain, neck pain, sciatica and headaches. At Summit Spine Centre in Airdrie, every visit starts with a thorough assessment. Treatment may include gentle Cox Flexion-Distraction, chiropractic adjustments and home exercises.
Can I see a chiropractor today in Airdrie?
Often, yes. Summit Spine Centre welcomes walk-ins and is open six days a week, with early morning and evening hours on weekdays. You can also book online or call 403-948-4440 to check same-day availability. No referral is needed.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Yes. At Summit Spine Centre in Airdrie, every patient has a thorough assessment before any treatment begins, and your care is tailored to your comfort level. If you'd like a gentler approach, low-force options like Cox Flexion-Distraction and adjustments without the cracking sound are available. We explain everything before we start, and you're always in control.
Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt, and what is the cracking sound?
Most people find adjustments relieving rather than painful, though mild soreness for a day afterward is normal. The cracking sound is just gas releasing from the joint, and it isn't needed for treatment to work. If the sound makes you nervous, the chiropractors at Summit Spine Centre can also use gentle techniques that make little or no noise.
How much does a chiropractor cost in Airdrie?
At Summit Spine Centre, a first visit is $110 and includes a full history, an exam and, in most cases, your first treatment. Follow-up visits are $60. We direct bill most major insurance plans, so many patients pay little or nothing upfront.
Is chiropractic care covered by Alberta Health Care?
No. Alberta Health Care (AHCIP) does not cover chiropractic care, but most extended health benefit plans do. Seniors may have partial coverage through Alberta Blue Cross. Summit Spine Centre direct bills most major providers, so you don't have to pay upfront and wait for a refund.
How many chiropractic visits will I need? Do I have to keep coming forever?
It depends on your condition, how long you've had it and how your body responds. Some people feel much better in a handful of visits, while long-standing problems take longer. At Summit Spine Centre, we give you an honest estimate at your first visit, and if you only need a couple of treatments, we'll be the first to tell you. Ongoing care is always your choice, never a requirement.
Should I see a chiropractor or a physiotherapist?
It depends on what's actually causing your pain, and that's the question most people never get answered. If you've stretched, rested and tried everything, and the pain keeps coming back, the source may not be where it hurts. Leg pain can start with a pinched nerve in the low back. Headaches can start in the neck. Chiropractors are trained to trace symptoms back to the spine and the nerves that branch out from it. At Summit Spine Centre in Airdrie, every first visit starts with a thorough assessment, so you finally understand why you hurt, not just where. No referral needed.
Can a chiropractor help with sciatica or a herniated disc?
In many cases, yes. Sciatica and disc herniations are among the most common problems treated at Summit Spine Centre in Airdrie. We use Cox Flexion-Distraction, a gentle, non-surgical table technique designed for disc and nerve pain. Your first visit includes a full assessment to confirm it's the right fit.
